🧼 How clean is clean enough?

This weekend I tackled the BBQ. The kids (8 and 6) joined in - armed with enthusiasm and questionable technique. We scrubbed, rinsed, and stood back. It looked better.

Then we did a second pass. Much better.

At that point, the kids bailed. “It's clean enough,” they said, heading inside. I kept going. Bicarb. White wine vinegar. Elbow grease.

Each layer revealed more grime - and more shine. Eventually, I stopped. Not because it was perfect, but because I'd hit my threshold.

📸 I'll post a photo. Some will say I should've kept going. Others will wonder why I went as far as I did.

And that's the point. Everyone has a layer of detail they're satisfied with.

In presentations, we often settle on a slide that we think hits the mark. But it's only when we're in the room - or on the call - that we realise:

  • Some want just the headline
  • Others want the full forensic breakdown

That's why we built slideAcross - to let presenters adapt in real time.

  • Layered content. Either pre-layered or built in real-time using our AI engine.
  • So you can meet your audience where they are, not where you hoped they'd be.

Because whether it's BBQs or boardrooms, one layer of detail rarely fits all.
