I guess you're probably as sick of the weather as I am. Assuming you're in the UK of course. Although I don't think we are alone.

The worst thing you can do at the moment is scroll right on a weather app. It is relentless. Rain, rain, heavy rain, rain. And there is no end in sight. So don't be tempted to look I suggest.

Except... tomorrow. Tomorrow has sunshine. It's going to be a bit colder. But the sun is going to make an appearance, in Buckinghamshire at least. I hope. Which will be an amazing change from the monotony of rain after rain after rain.

Sometimes, we just need a break. Something different. And that is the advice I offer to presenters. Think about your slides and how they are received by your audience. If every slide follows the same format then they become monotonous and, frankly, boring.

Having a different format - a video, an infographic, a break out - keeps people engaged and interested. Think about how your slides are received by the audience to ensure connection and enthusiasm for the story you are telling.
